COVID-19: Ghana’s active cases move from 413 to 503

Ghana has recorded a rise in its coronavirus active cases over the past 48 hours, statistics from the Health Service indicate.

At least 90 more cases have since been recorded since the West African country witnessed a sharp drop in its active cases from 530 to 413 on October 1, 2020.

On Saturday, October 3, 2020 the Ghana Health Service reported 503 active cases with the death toll still remaining at 301.

The national caseload now stands at 46,768 while the total number of recoveries and discharges increase to 45,964 as against 45,942 two days ago.

Ever since the international airport – Kotoka – was re-opened on September 1, 2020 the country has recorded 43 cases from international travelers. Two persons are currently on ventilators while four cases have been declared critical.
