Four more patients have died of COVID-19, taking the national death toll in Ghana to 139, according to the latest update on Sunday evening.
Also, 270 new cases have been announced, sending the total caseload to 24, 518, per the Ghana Health Service update.
“A total of 270 new cases were reported on July 9,2020. These are samples that were taken from the period 17 June to 8 July 2020 … but reported from the lab on July 9,” the GHS said.
The recoveries have shot up to 20, 187 with the active cases standing at 4,192. The figures also show that 25 persons are in severe condition with eight being critical. Four are on ventilators.
