The former general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Adjei Agyepong, has joined the campaign trail in a bid to secure another term for President Akufo-Addo.
Addressing a rally of the governing party in Hohoe in the Volta Region, Agyepong showered glowing praises on the president for delivering on his campaign promises to Ghanaians during the 2016 electioneering period.
He, therefore, urged electorates in the region and throughout the country to retain the current administration by voting massively for the NPP in the December 7 general elections.
“Everywhere we have been, the President has delivered on his mandate, whether it is infrastructure, whether it is schools, roads, water, and what have you. We have a President who has compassion, a President who is competent, a President who has a vision, a President who is a man of action, a President who loves his people, and a President who wants to serve the country Ghana,” the former NPP chief scribe said.
“On the 7th of December, Ghanaians around the country are going to deliver a resounding endorsement to his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and my brother John Peter Amewu, and I am sure next four years will see greater development,” he added.
President Akufo-Addo resumed campaign activities ahead of the polls next month on Saturday, November 21, 2020, after a one-week halt following the death of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
Rawlings died on Thursday, November 12, 2020, after a short illness.
