Democracy Hub Protest: Arrested lawless youth must face full force of the law – Kwamena Duncan

0

Kwamena Duncan has urged the police to ensure that none of the arrested participants in the Democracy Hub protest go unpunished for their unlawful actions.

Over 30 individuals were arrested in connection with the protest, accused of causing property damage and engaging in activities that violated the law. They have been arraigned before the court and remain in police custody.

Speaking on the issue, Duncan called for strict enforcement of the law. “The steps taken by the police to arrest these lawless young people must be followed through completely. The law must take its full course and deal with them,” he emphasized, warning that failure to do so could lead the country down a path of disorder.

Duncan commended the police for their restraint in handling the situation despite the provocations. “Every well-meaning Ghanaian who watches the video will feel provoked. For the police to contain themselves and maintain order in the face of such extreme provocation, I highly commend them,” the former Minister stated on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show.
