Osman Ayariga, Deputy National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has issued a strong warning to the government, stating that the NDC will make the country ungovernable within the next three months if the current economic hardships are not addressed.
Speaking at a rally on August 10, Mr. Ayariga expressed frustration over widespread economic difficulties, high unemployment, and inadequate basic services affecting Ghanaians. He highlighted that the youth are especially disillusioned with the government’s failure to provide lasting solutions.
“The continued neglect of the people’s needs will lead to civil unrest,” Mr. Ayariga warned, citing the rising cost of living and deteriorating public infrastructure as evidence of the government’s shortcomings. He accused the leadership of being disconnected from the realities faced by citizens and failing to deliver on its promises.
Mr. Ayariga urged Ghanaians, particularly the youth, to unite and hold the government accountable. He encouraged them to take to the streets if necessary to ensure their concerns are addressed.
“As the youth of this country, we have been quiet for too long. It is time for us to rise and fight. The victory will not come easily, but we are the green army and the revolutionary force of this country,” he declared.
He concluded by stating, “In the next three months, we will make this country ungovernable for the NPP. We will protest, demonstrate, and campaign. We will not rest until all the stolen monies are recovered.”
