Peter Mac Manu, a former National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has for the second time been appointed by the party as campaign manager as President Akufo-Addo seeks re-election.

Mr. Mac Manu, who is currently the Board Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, held the same position during the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.

He will be deputised by Minister of Zongo Development and Inner City, Dr. Mustapha Hamid, and Director of Operations at the Presidency, Lord Oblitey Commey, sources within the party say.

Accra-based Citi FM also reported that the party’s chief scribe, John Boadu will head Campaign Logistics and Operation, the same position he held in the 2016 Campaign.

NPP National Organizer, Sammi Awuku will be his Deputy, the station said on its website Thursday.

The party was expected to hold a national delegates conference on May 2nd, 2020 to officially outdoor and launch its Campaign, but has been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
