Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has announced a shift in the party’s campaign strategy for the upcoming December elections.
In a departure from the large rallies of previous campaigns, Asiedu Nketiah revealed that the party will focus on more direct engagement with voters. The official launch of the NDC’s campaign will take place in Tamale on Saturday, July 27.
In an interview with Citi News, Asiedu Nketiah emphasized that the campaign will prioritize door-to-door and personal interactions with voters. “We want to reach out to the people through house-to-house and retail campaigns. Our emphasis will be on personal engagement,” he said.
He further noted that this approach allows for more cost-effective outreach. “It is cheaper for party functionaries to visit people in their villages than to gather them at a central location for a rally,” Asiedu Nketiah added.
