Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, together with his parliamentary candidates in the three Atwima Constituencies, has received overwhelming support from voters.

This wave of support intensified as Dr. Bawumia visited the Atwima Mponua, Nwabiagya South, and Nwabiagya North constituencies to campaign as part of his 15-day tour of the Ashanti Region.

Having already toured 15 out of Ghana’s 16 regions and campaigned in over 220 constituencies, Dr. Bawumia saved the Ashanti Region—an NPP stronghold—for his final constituency-focused campaign stop. Many enthusiastic supporters had eagerly awaited the arrival of their prospective leader.

Joined by party figures like Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Kwabena Nsafoa, and both former and current MPs, Dr. Bawumia kicked off his Ashanti tour in Ntobroso, Atwima Mponua Constituency.

During his visit, he engaged with key stakeholders, including members of the clergy, Imams, and other community leaders. His trip to Ntobroso was seen as historic, marking the first time a presidential candidate has visited the town. Dr. Bawumia then traveled to Nyinahin, where he addressed a massive crowd at a well-attended rally, further energizing his supporters.

At Atwima Nwabiagya South, the next stop, Parliamentary Candidate Shirley Kyei emphasized that Dr. Bawumia and the NPP are the only options capable of enhancing the lives of Ghanaians, especially those in Atwima areas.

“Atwima Nwabiagya, we know what the NPP has done. We are the first constituency to produce the first NPP government. We produced J.A. Kufuor, and we saw his transformational policies like the NHIS scheme, school feeding programme among others. In 2008 things changed and the NDC took over and brought us capitation policy which took a huge toll on our health system in the Ashanti Region. We still not forgotten about that era. Let us handover the presidency to Dr Bawumia to continue the works of President Akufo-Addo who initiated the Free SHS programme”, Kyei told a charged crowd at Abuakwa on Monday (4 November).

“The digitalization agenda spearheaded by Dr Bawumia is also on course. The drone technology is making a significant impact on our health system…I know on 7 December with this massive roll out of these policies you will reward this effort with a vote for Bawumia and my good self”, she wooed.

Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed his dedication to improving the lives of Ghanaians through bold and effective solutions.

“With the massive support you have shown I am fully convinced that by the 7 December midnight your parliamentary candidate and the NPP will win this election. And I believe that is why the NDC is in fear. They are now engaging in insults. We are winning this election”

“Our numerous achievements will secure our victory. Because our Free SHS policy, which our opponents said it was not possible has enrolled over 5.7 million children who now receive free education. The NDC cancelled the teacher trainee and nurses’ allowances, and we came to restore them”, he touted.
