The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially announced that its 2024 presidential candidate, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will file his nomination papers at the Electoral Commission headquarters on Monday, September 9, 2024.
In a press release, NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong detailed that Dr. Bawumia, the current Vice President and party leader, will be joined by his running mate, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, along with key party figures including the National Chairman, General Secretary, and the Majority Leader in Parliament.
Following the submission of his nomination, Dr. Bawumia is scheduled to address party supporters and the general public at the NPP’s National Headquarters at 9:00 a.m., marking a significant moment in the party’s campaign.
This announcement from the NPP coincides with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) also confirming that its flagbearer, John Mahama, will file his nomination papers later on the same day at 2:00 p.m.
