John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2024 presidential election, is set to submit his nomination papers on Monday (9 September), his campaign team has confirmed.

This marks the beginning of the NDC’s official campaign push as the party gears up for the upcoming elections.

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, a spokesperson for Mahama’s campaign, emphasized the significance of this moment, noting that the campaign is centered on unifying Ghana and spearheading economic reforms.

“This is a momentous occasion for the NDC as we gear up to build the Ghana we want together. Our campaign focuses on jobs, accountability, development, and a better future for all Ghanaians”, Mogtari stated.

In preparation for the filing, Mahama will embark on a four-day tour of the Bono Region starting Sunday. The #Mahama4Change2024 tour will encompass visits to all 12 constituencies within the region.

During the tour, Mahama will engage with traditional and religious leaders, hold community meetings, and visit the Bono Regional House of Chiefs.

A highlight of the tour will be a youth forum at the Sunyani Technical University, where Mahama will present his vision for revitalizing Ghana’s economy and boosting employment through innovative policies.

The tour aims to rally support and solidify Mahama’s position as the NDC’s candidate for the 2024 presidential race.
