Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Eli Keke made the Icelandic Deild League team of the week for match day 13 following his man of the match display for Vikingur Olafsvik in their 2-2 away draw with Grotta on Saturday.
Eli who has made four appearances in the prestigious team of the week is paired in central defence with Por Akureyri’s Dino Gavric.
The ambidextrous defender mentioned that it is a great honor to be in the team of the week and it serves as a morale booster for him.
“Being in the team of the week shows you are doing something good and your work is being recognised. I will continue to do my best anytime for my club,” Eli told Dailymailgh.com
The 23-year-old centre back was also named in the Icelandic League best XI for the first round of the current season.
