Ghana Premier League giant Asante Kotoko SC midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has vowed to work harder after his first call-up to the Black Stars.

The former Accra Great Olympics at the start of the season joined the Porcupine Warriors and  is one of the three local players named in the squad for the final two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and says he’s commitment to continue improving to be able to continue getting call-ups after this.

“Kotoko has taught me a lot to improve in my career. They’ve given me the big platform to showcase my talent, and I think that’s a good step for me,” Antwi told Asante Kotoko after the call-up.

“I’ll keep working hard to make sure I make them proud when I get there.”

Antwi will be hoping to make his Black Stars debut in the upcoming qualifiers, with Ghana set to face Angola away in Luanda on November 14, before hosting Niger in Accra on November 18.
