Kuwaiti side Al Salmiya have made an offer to Fiorentina for the services of Ghanaian central midfielder Amidu Salifu.
Salifu’s contract with La Viola expires on June 30, 2020 and he could be made to leave on permanent basis this summer after several loan stints which has seen him play for Catania, Modena, Brescia and a host of other clubs.
Dailymailgh.com understands that despite receiving the offer from the Kuwaiti club, Fiorentina are holding up to him and are yet to decide his next step as some Italian clubs are also gunning for his signature.
A very promising player during his days at Fiorentina, Amidu, 26, made his Serie A debut for the Florence based club on April, 23, 2011 against Cagliari when he came in for skipper Adrian Mutu in the 90th minute. He went on to play 15 more games before he was sent on loan for the first time.
Last season, he played nine times for Lega Promo outfit Societa Sportiva Arezzo where he was on loan as they finished 4th in the Italian third tier.
He was part of the Ghana Black Satellites team which failed to qualify for the 2011 Under 20 World Cup in Columbia.
