Ghanaian enforcer Godfred Donsah will no longer be sold by Bologna this summer, despite serious interests from Fenerbahce, Parma, Wolfsburg and a host of other teams.

Donsah had a torrid time last season with the Rossoblu making only six Serie A appearances as injuries and lost of form hampered his progress.

He was one of the players Bologna wanted to send on loan or cash in on this summer but he is now staying as the club have been hit by central midfield crisis.

Dailymailgh.com can exclusively reveal that Blerim Dzemaili, Andrea Poli and newly signed Jeerdy Schouten are all battling injuries and might not be fit for the start of the Serie A so manager Sinisa Mihajlovic has asked that Donsah should be maintained.

Donsah, who was part of the Ghana Black Satellites team, which reached the second round of the Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand in 2015 has previously featured for Palermo, Hellas Verona and Cagliari.

His current contract with Bologna expires on June 30, 2022.
