Exclusive: Ghana striker Manu joins Beijing Renhe

Ghanaian forward Elvis Manu has joined Chinese Superleague side Beijing Renhe after leaving Turkish outfit Akhisarspor.

Dailymailgh.com can exclusively reveal that the attacker joined the Chinese outfit on Tuesday morning on a two-year deal after a transfer fee of $5 million was paid to Akhisarspor.

Manu, 26, was one of the stars in the Turkish topflight last season netting seven goals and providing two assists in 28 games despite his club suffering relegation.

He emerged as a transfer target of Trabzonspor, Besiktas and Fenerbahce before deciding to move to the Far-East to join Beijing Renhe.

Groomed at Feyenoord Rotterdam, Manu who was born in the Netherlands has also previously featured for English side Brighton as well as Genclirbirligi in Turkey.
