Ghanaian-born American midfielder Kofi Twumasi has joined German Regionalliga side Rot Weiss Oberhausen from Romanian outfit FC Constanta on a three-year deal.

Twumasi, 22, signed for the German fourth-tier side on a free transfer on Thursday after ending his contract with FC Constanta.

Last season, the tireless midfield anchor played on loan at CFR Cluj where he made 12 league appearances, scoring twice.

Born in Kumasi, Twumasi grew up in America but is yet to represent Ghana or the Yankees at any level.
