Ghanaian duo of defender Gabriel Leveh and striker Pierre Dwomoh Junior are part of 13 youngsters from the Genk youth team who are scheduled to start preseason training with the senior side on Wednesday.
Dailymailgh.com understands that majority of the Genk players are on various national assignments and will return for preseason after their schedules so manager Felice Mazzu has called 13 young players to start training with the senior ones available this week.
The list includes former Ghana Under 17 defender Leveh and 14-year-old striker Dwomoh Junior who has been on fire for the Under-18 side in the Junior League. Others who made the cut are Siebe Vandermeulen, Shawn Adewoye, Joren Leyssens, Arthur Theate, Elias Sierra, Xander Lambrix, Ismael Saibari, Luca Oyen, Bryan Limbombe, Adriano Bertaccini and Arne Cuypers.
With Genk having a loaded season ahead which will include playing in the Uefa Champions League, Leveh and Dwomoh can make the final team for the season if they impress in the preseason games.
