Ghanaian international Emmanuel Boateng’s stay in the Chinese Superliga could be short-lived with Newcastle already showing interest in him.
Dailymailgh.com can exclusively reveal that officials of the EPL club have already asked Dalian Yifang about the pedigree of Boateng who has banged in 11 goals in 14 Chinese Superleague games.
The Magpies have sold their target man Ayoze Perez to Leicester City in the ongoing summer transfer window and are in the market looking for a striker but they have to wait until January if they are to get Boateng.
Yifang who pay Boateng a whopping yearly wage of $1.2m may not want to sell him outright as he has a running contract until 2022 but if in January they are in a better position and Newcastle are struggling, they could release him on loan to help the EPL outfit.
Boateng, 23, joined Dalian Yifang from Spanish La Liga side Levante for 5 million Euros in February this year.
