Ghana’s Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has revealed his biggest challenge as the gaffer for the Ghana senior national team.
The Irish tactician of Ghanaian descent says the expectations that comes with the Job from the propel is what gives him a headache about the Ghana job.
According to him, getting results in games is one of the most difficult thing to do because it is never easy to take on any team.
“The biggest challenge is always expectations. I have been here for long enough and over a long enough period and I can remember the World Cups of old and the Black Stars teams in the past so this brings expectations,” Hughton told Supersport.
“But that comes with any management or coaching job. It is about getting results and also the levels of change now…So many teams have improved.
“If you look at an AFCON qualifying group, there’s never an easy one, which might not have been the case in the past. Expectations and of course making sure that you can get the results that you need to get.”
Chris Hughton got a win on his coaching debut with the Black Stars and picked up a 1-1 stalemate against the Palancas Negras of Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last month.
