“Fatau Motorway”: Gun-wielding suspect in NPP-NDC Mamobi clash arrested

The Ghana Police Service has arrested Fatawu Ibrahim, also known as “Fatau Motorway,” a suspect linked to the violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Mamobi in Accra on 13 October.

Ibrahim was identified from a video widely circulated online, where he was seen brandishing a firearm during the confrontation, which reportedly left two people injured from gunshot wounds.

In a statement, the police confirmed that Ibrahim is now in custody and will face court proceedings soon.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing to establish the full details surrounding the clashes.
