Fenerbahce are weighing their options to sign Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen on loan from PSV Eindhoven this summer, according to Dailymailgh.com sources.

The Turkish giants are in need of an experienced defender ahead of the new season and considering a one-year loan deal for the Dutch-born Ghanaian international.

Luckassen, 24, struggled last season on loan under Pal Dardai at Hertha BSC as his stay with the Berlin club was hampered with injuries forcing him to make four appearances throughout last season.

The utility defender returned to Holland after his loan spell with the German side, and has made three Champions League appearances for PSV and also featured in their Johan Cruyff Super Cup 2-0 defeat to Ajax last month.

Luckassen has previously represented The Netherlands at youth levels but remains eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana.

The tall right-back can also play as a left-back and central defender as well.
