FIFA World Cup Qualifiers: Otto Addo drops Jordan Ayew as he names starting XI for Mali clash

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has announced a strong lineup for Ghana’s critical 2026 World Cup qualifier against group favorite Mali, set for today, June 6, 2024.

 

In goal, Lawrence Ati-Zigi will start, with Alidu Seidu as right-back and Gideon Mensah as left-back. The central defense will be anchored by Salisu Mohammed and Alexander Djiku.

 

The midfield sees the return of Thomas Partey, playing for the first time since October 2023, who will partner with Abdul Salis Samed in a double pivot.

Ernest Nuamah, Kudus Mohammed, and Tariq Lamptey, who will operate on the right side of the attack, will support primary striker Antoine Semenyo in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
