Finance Minister to present 2024 Mid-Year Budget today

Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, the Finance Minister, is set to deliver the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review in Parliament on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. The review will update the House on the progress of the government’s 2024 Budget and present revised financial plans along with a new economic outlook for Ghana.

According to a statement released on Monday, July 22, the review will cover the implementation of the 2024 budget, providing insights into the economic and fiscal performance for the first half of the year. It will include updates on growth measures, revenue and expenditure performance, financing, and debt sustainability.

Additionally, Dr. Amin Adam will report on the ongoing US$3 billion International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan-supported Post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG). This will mark Dr. Amin Adam’s debut presentation in Parliament since his appointment as Finance Minister in February 2024, fulfilling the requirements of Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
