Members of the #FixTheCountry movement have confirmed that their lead-convener Oliver Barker Vormawor has once again been arrested by the police.
The reason for this latest arrest is unknown. The group said Oliver was picked up by the police on his way to court on Tuesday.
The police are yet to officially comment on the development.
In a Facebook post moments after his arrest, the movement said: “We are not safe.”
Treason charges
Barker-Vormawor is currently on a GHC2 million bail with two sureties having been charged with treason felony. Under the bail conditions, Barker-Vormawor is also to report to the police once a week.
He was picked up by the Tema Regional Police on Saturday 12 February 2022, after allegedly stating that he would stage a coup in Ghana if Parliament passes the E-Levy Bill.
