The Accra Circuit Court has cleared four more protesters from the Democracy Hub demonstrations after the state decided to drop charges against them.

The state prosecution team told the court that they had filed fresh charges to replace those initially filed on September 25 against the protesters.

The individuals released from the case are Cedric Bansah, Emmanuel Offei, Nana Amo Mensah Prempeh, and Thomas Yeboah.

With this latest ruling, a total of 11 protesters have now been discharged, as the court continues to hear other cases related to the Democracy Hub protests.

The protests, which took place from September 21 to September 23, saw the arrest of 53 individuals. Earlier, on Tuesday, October 22, the court had similarly discharged seven other pro

testers.
