Owusu-Akyaw embarked on a tour of Junior High Schools in Juaben on Tuesday (18 June) to monitor the ongoing examination. The intervention aimed to ensure the smooth conduct of the Super-mock BECE and encourage candidates to strive for academic excellence.
He used the occasion to motivate the students, emphasizing the importance of hard work and excellence in shaping their future and uplifting the image of the constituency.
Mr Owusu-Akyaw was joined by Hon. Omane Aboagye, Municipal Chief Executive for Juaben, and NPP Constituency Executives led by Chairman Sarfo Kantanka.
Some 43 schools across the Juaben Municipality are participating in the 2024 Super-mock BECE Examination, which commenced on June 18th and will conclude on June 25th, 2024. At the Juaben Benevolent Islamic and the Juaben Presby Junior High Schools, the candidates could not hide their excitement.
For Madam Phyllis Boateng the Municipal Director of Education it was a timely intervention.
“Our outfit was financially constrained and organizing this exam for our candidates was a challenge, but Mr Owusu-Akyaw came to our aid, and I must commend him for his kind gesture. This clearly shows his commitment to education and preparing students adequately for the upcoming BECE.
The 2024 BECE will begin on Monday, 8 July 2024 and end on Friday, 12 July 2024. The exam is supervised by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
