Ghanaian international Joseph Aidoo will not return to Belgian champions Genk after the 2019 AFCON.

He is scheduled to move to Spain to have his medicals after his transfer fee was agreed.

Dailymailgh.com can exclusively reveal that officials of Genk were in Spain Wednesday and had a meeting with Celta Vigo over their interest in the budding defender.

Initially, Celta Vigo were ready to pay six million Euros for the 23-year-old but after two hours of talks, they agreed on Genk’s asking price of eight million Euros.

The Ghanaian was instrumental last season in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League playing 28 games, and scoring one goal as the Blue-Whites won the trophy.

He has previously featured for Inter Allies and Swedish outfit Hammarby.
