Ghana: 3 dead, 17 in critical condition after contracting COVID-19

3 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 related infections in Ghana sending the country’s death toll to 716.

Per available figures released by the Ghana Health Service dated March 15, 2021, at least 17 patients are in critical condition whiles that of 38 others have been described as severe.

268 new cases have been recorded bringing the number of active cases to 3,338.

Tests

Out of 964,174 samples tested in Ghana, 89,276 has returned positive while 85,222 of the number have been treated and discharged.

The samples tested were drawn from routine surveillance systems, enhanced contact tracing and that if travellers arriving at the Kotoka International Airport.
