Ghanaian born Claud Adjapong has joined Hellas Verona on a season-long loan deal from Sassuolo.

The 21-year-old has failed to command a regular position and has therefore been loaned out to the newly promoted Serie A side for a year.

Adjapong made only five senior appearances during the 2018-2019 season at the club and would be hopeful of getting enough playing time at his new side.

The Ghanaian-born Italian has an agreement with Verona to make his season-long loan deal permanent for a transfer fee of about eight to nine million Euros.

Adjapong can still represent Ghana as he is yet to make a senior debut for the Azzuries after playing in the Italian U19 and U21 respectively.

The talented right-back who can also play in various roles was born in Modena in Italy to Ghanaian parents and was once scouted by the Ghana FA.
