Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has announced his 26-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger, set for early next month.
The senior men’s national team, which last met in June, secured consecutive victories over Mali and the Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Players are expected to assemble by the end of this week or early next week to start preparations for the AFCON qualifiers, which will occur over the next three international windows.
Coach Otto Addo’s squad includes familiar faces such as Thomas Partey, Kudus Mohammed, Jordan Ayew, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku. Notably, Inaki Williams and Majeed Ashimeru are back in the squad after missing the previous matches, while Frederick Asare of Asante Kotoko is the only home-based player included.
However, Captain Andre Ayew may be absent again as he continues to search for a new club.
The Black Stars will kick off their 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign against Angola on Thursday, September 5, at the Baba Yara Stadium, followed by a match against Niger four days later.
