Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Eli Keke is pleased after being selected in the Icelandic Deild League Best 11 for the first round.
Eli who features for Olafsvik Vikingur in the Scandinavian country has been in good form and has been a pillar at the back as they push forward to win the Icelandic second-tier league.
The versatile defender insists it has been a perfect half season so far and his progress has been on course.
“It’s the second time on the row that I have made it into the best 11 for the first round. Last season too I was in it,” Eli told Dailymailgh.com.
“I am feeling good because my aim is to improve on last season’s output and it is paying off though the season is still not over.
“I am looking forward to a fantastic secomd round and I will do my best to help my team always,” the Ghanaian noted.
Eli was voted as his club’s overall best player in the 2018 season where he played 19 games and scored twice.
An ambidextrous player, Eli can operate anywhere across the back four and also as a defensive midfielder.
