Ghana forward Bernard Tekpetey named ‘Best’ player in Bulgaria

Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey has been named the Best Foreigner in the Bulgarian First Professional League for the year 2022.

Tekpetey again was the runner up to Bulgaria’s national team captain, Despodov as the best striker in the league.

The 25-year-old played 24 League games scoring 10 goals for the Green and Whites Eagles in the Bulgarian top-flight helping them to win the league title for a 10th consecutive time.

He has already scored eight goals and provided four assists this season in 17 League games for Ludogorets Razgrad 1945 in the Bulgarian First Professional League.

He was left out of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon and the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar by Milovan Rajevac and Otto Addo respectively.
