Ghana goes completely online and stops manual passport application

Manual passport application has ceased in Ghana, effective March 1, 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

“The measure will enhance service delivery to the Ghanaian public. The Ministry counts on the usual cooperation of Passport Applicants,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

In a public announcement, the Ministry noted: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration wishes to inform the general public and passport applicants that, Online Passport Application is now available at all Passport Application Centres (PACs).

“Consequently, the Manual Passport Application platform will cease to operate from 1st March, 2020.

“Passport Applicants are advised to use the Online Passport Application platform; passport.mfa.gov.gh to submit their applications.”
