Ghana legend Abedi Pele delighted to see his son Andre Ayew join Le Havre in France

Ghana legend Abedi Pele Ayew has reacted to his son Andre Ayew’s move to French Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC after months of being clubless since his release by Nottingham Forest in June.

 

The former Africa footballer of the year winner could not hide his excitement as he took to social media to pour out his satisfaction after his son signed for the club in the French top-flight.

 

The Ghanaian international, Andre Ayew, (33) was been unveiled as a new Le Havre AC player on Saturday evening.

 

Ayew has been a free agent since a short stint at Premier League side Nottingham Forest came to an end in the summer.

 

Le Havre confirmed the signing of Ayew later on Saturday and he is was presented presented to the Stade Océane ahead of the Ligue 1 encounter against AS Monaco.

 

Les Ciel et Marine are currently seventh in Ligue 1 following their promotion from Ligue 2. Ayew will compete with Lille OSC loanee Mohamed Bayo for a starting spot in the team.
