In an electrifying match on Saturday afternoon, Ghanaian midfielder Jeffery Schlupp proved to be the hero for Crystal Palace, scoring a breathtaking late equalizer in their 1-1 draw against Fulham.
Before the game, the head-to-head record between the two teams was evenly balanced, with three wins each and five draws.
Schlupp made his presence felt immediately after replacing his fellow Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew in the 76th minute at Craven Cottage.
Fulham had taken the lead in the 52nd minute when Rodrigo Muniz headed the ball into the net from Timothy Castagne’s cross.
However, it was Schlupp’s moment of brilliance that stole the spotlight. In the 87th minute, he received a pass from Adam Wharton outside the box and unleashed an extraordinary strike that flew into the top left corner of the net, securing a crucial point for Crystal Palace.
Throughout the season, Schlupp has been a reliable performer for Crystal Palace, featuring in 27 games, scoring twice, and providing two assists in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace’s next challenge awaits them against Manchester United in their upcoming league fixture.
