President Akufo-Addo has expressed grief over the horrific Kintampo-Tamale accident that claimed the lives of over 30 lives.
The President, in a tweet on Tuesday, March 10, expressed his condolences to families and loved ones of the deceased and also wished the injured a speedy recovery.
“My sympathies and condolences go to all the families and loved ones of the deceased in Monday’s horrific accident on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway. May their souls Rest in Peace. I also wish the injured a speedy recovery”, the President stated.

Many Ghanaians also expressed shock and have called on authorities to devise measures to curb the increasing carnages on the road.
Road accidents are common in Ghana. An average of six people die everyday on Ghana’s roads.
On the Kintampo-Tamale Highway for instance, over 150 lives have been lost between 2016 to date.
