Ghana Navy, NACOC, and police arrest six in narcotics bust

The Ghana Navy, Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), and the Ghana Police have arrested six individuals over alleged involvement in narcotics.

The operation, led by the Ada Foah Detachment of the Ghana Navy Riverine Command, resulted in the seizure of 81 sacks of suspected marijuana.

The illicit substances were discovered in a run-down warehouse situated at the Ghana Highways Authority premises in Ada.

The suspects were apprehended at the scene, and the confiscated drugs were subsequently transported to the NACOC Headquarters in Accra for further investigation.

This intelligence-led operation aimed to prevent the potential movement of narcotics from their source on land. Authorities underscored their dedication to combating the illegal narcotics trade and urged the public to provide any useful information for future operations.
