Ghana Premier League: Accra Hearts of Oak 0 – 1 Aduana Stars – Phobians fall again at home

Hearts of Oak experienced their second consecutive home defeat, falling 1-0 to Aduana FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in a matchweek 30 encounter of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

In their previous home match, the Phobians were also narrowly defeated 1-0 by Accra Lions. They managed to recover with a convincing 3-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in their subsequent game.

This latest defeat keeps Hearts of Oak in 12th place on the league table with 38 points, just five points clear of the relegation zone and 17 points behind the league leaders, Samartex.

Kelvin Obeng netted the decisive goal in the 11th minute, stunning the home supporters and securing the victory for Aduana FC.

This win marks Aduana FC’s first in four matches, propelling them to third place with 46 points, nine points adrift of the top spot.

In their upcoming fixtures, Aduana FC will face Nsoatreman at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park, while Hearts of Oak will travel to face their rivals, Asante Kotoko, in the highly anticipated Super Clash next weekend.
