In an intense clash during match-week 24 of the Ghana Premier League, Bechem United clashed with Asante Kotoko in a gripping goalless encounter at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

Bechem United welcomed back some crucial players like goalkeeper Aziz Haruna Dari, Cameroonian player Gabriel Yenlep, Francis Twene, and Clinton Duodu from injury, boosting their lineup.

On the other side, Asante Kotoko saw the return of goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim and young talent Rocky Dwamena, but Ivorian midfielder Serge Zeze remained sidelined due to injury.

The match kicked off with Asante Kotoko taking the initiative, as Kalo Ouattara attempted an early long-range shot, which Bechem United’s goalkeeper Haruna Dari managed to save.

Bechem United also had their moments, with Emmanuel Annor launching a powerful strike, but it was well dealt with by Danlad Ibrahim, resulting in a missed opportunity from a corner kick.

There was a moment of drama as Bechem United were initially awarded a penalty, only for referee Imoro Osman to reverse his decision after consulting his assistants, leaving the score level at halftime.

The second half saw both teams adopting a more cautious approach, resulting in fewer chances. Baba Yahaya came close for Asante Kotoko with a well-taken shot from outside the box, while Bechem United’s Emmanuel Abban also tested the opposition defense, but Danlad Ibrahim once again denied the chance.

Despite the efforts of both teams, neither managed to find the back of the net, leading to a goalless draw at the final whistle.

Bechem United extended their winless streak, while Asante Kotoko halted their four-game losing streak but couldn’t secure a win, extending their own winless run to five matches.
