Great Olympics secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon during match week 32 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

 

This win significantly boosts Great Olympics’ chances of avoiding relegation, especially considering they have a game in hand against Dreams FC.

 

Despite the victory, Great Olympics remains in the relegation zone, currently third from the bottom with 39 points from 31 games.

 

The game saw Steven Mukwala missing a penalty for Great Olympics early on, which could have given them the lead. However, it was Raymond Oko Grippman who broke the deadlock just two minutes before halftime, scoring from the far post to give Great Olympics the advantage heading into the break.

 

In the second half, Great Olympics defended resolutely to maintain their lead and secure the 1-0 victory.

 

Looking ahead, Great Olympics will face Hearts of Oak in their next match as they continue their fight to retain their position in the league.
