Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC scored three late goals at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the week 17 clash against Berekum Chelsea FC.
The Phobians recorded a 3-1 home win over the Bibires after suffering a painful 1-0 loss at the Aliu Mahama sports stadium in Tamale to Real Tamale United FC.
Hearts started the game very well with scintillating play and wowed their fans with good passes upfront though the attackers failed to make good use of it.
Hearts came close to scoring on several occasions but experienced Ghana goalkeeper, Ernest Sowah was in the mood to stop and the Phobians.
Chelsea had few chances on the break but couldn’t hurt the the home team as they returned to the dressing with a goalless draw.
Zakaria Fuseini scored an own goal after a brilliant cross from Dennis Korsah to hand the Phobians the lead after 81 minutes of play.
Five minutes later, Benjamin Yorke rounded goalkeeper, Ernest Sowah after a beautiful team play to score the second goal of the match to put the hosts 2-0 up with three minutes left on the clock.
Kusi Pandrous got a consolation goal for the away team a minute into the additional time period of the match to send the game into an exciting end.
Nevertheless, the Phobians had the last laugh, when returnee striker Victor Aidoo headed home from close range in the last minute of the match to make the final score 3-1 to the home team.
