Ghanaian leader, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has congratulated the senior national team of Ghana, Black Stars following their historic 4th qualification to the World Cup.
Ghana beat Nigeria to the ticket to represent Africa after drawing 1-1 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday evening after a goalless first leg in Kumasi.
“Warm congratulations to the Senior National Football Team, the Black Stars, for their dogged display in Abuja, and qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. I am very proud of the team’s exploits. They have made the entire nation proud”, he Tweeted.
Thomas Partey scored the goal that got Ghana a ticket to November’s FIFA World Cup tournament which will be hosted by Qatar.
The Ghana President who was overwhelmed with the performance of the Stars could not hide his excitement and pleasure to see Ghana qualify to the FIFA Mundial under his watch.
