Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye is looking forward to today’s UEFA Champions League game with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
The Ghanaian international admits it is going to be a tough game though he is confident they are going to sail through.
“Last year I did not play lots of the Champions League games but this season everything is going on well and we are in the group stage. Bayer Munich is a top team and the other teams in the group namely Tottenham and Olympiacos are also tough but with determination we can get to our target,” Boakye told Arthur’s Legacy.
“I am a fighter and everyone knows I hate to lose, I always want to win. I play every game with all seriousness whether it is domestic league, champions league or playing leisure games in Ghana when I am on holidays, my motive has always been to be victorious.”
“We are in an amazing group with great teams and it even serves us motivation for me to give my best on the field. I am not scared of any player. As far as I am concerned, we are all 11 players on the field,” he added.
Boakye scored thrice in eight Champions League qualification games as the Serbian giants booked their place in the Group stage of the competition for the second successive time.
