Black Stars striker Caleb Ekuban on Thursday scored a hat-trick in the Europa League qualifiers for Trabzonspor in Athens.

The 25-year-old prolific attacker gave Trabzonspor the equalizer in the 28th minute after connecting with his right foot from very close range to the center of the goal after his side went behind in the 4th minutes.

Ekuban was on target again in the 43rd minutes with a well-timed header from the center of the box to the bottom right corner after a sumptuous assist from Jose Sosa following a corner.

The Ghanaian completed his hat-trick 69 minutes into the second half after applying the finishing touch when put through on goal by Abdulkadir Omer.

Trabzonspor won 3-1 on the night against Greek giant AEK Athens in Greece to give advantage to the Turkish side ahead of the return leg next Thursday.
