Ghana’s U20 national team has been placed in Group C for the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to take place in Egypt in 2025.

The official draw for the tournament was held on Sunday, April 13, in Cairo, where the Black Satellites were drawn alongside strong opponents—Senegal, DR Congo, and the Central African Republic.

As part of their build-up to the competition, the Black Satellites resumed training in Accra last week. The team, led by head coach Desmond Ofei, is expected to play a number of friendly matches in the coming weeks to fine-tune preparations before flying out to Egypt.

Should Ghana progress from the group stage, they could potentially face tough opponents such as hosts Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, or Zambia in the knockout rounds.

With a challenging group ahead, the Black Satellites are focused on preparing well to make a strong impression in the tournament.
