Ghanaian attacker Godson Kyeremeh provides assist, scores winner for Caen at Guingamp

France-based Ghana forward Godson Kyeremeh provided an assist and scored the winning goal for Stade Malherbe Caen in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday evening.

The Ghanaian forward grabbed the winner for the visitors with a very intelligent strike to give the visitors a vital away win on the road in their quest to qualify for Ligue 1 next season.

Barely halfway through the opening 45 minutes of the match, Kyeremeh set up Yoann Court to break the deadlock to give the away team a 1-0 after 19 minutes.

Three minutes to the end of the first half, the French-born Ghanaian attacker scored the second goal for the visitors to return to the dressing room with two goals and something to play for in the second half.

Amine El Ouazzani scored early in the second half of the match to reduce the deficit to one for the home team after 54 minutes but they couldn’t get the equalizer.

Caen won the game 2-1.

The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward has played 25 games in the 2022-23 French Ligue 2 and boast of four goals and two assists to his credit.
