Ghana’s Black Stars Center-back, Salisu Mohammed has suffered relegation from the English Premier League this season with Southampton FC.

His team suffered relegation officially on Saturday afternoon at the Mary’s Stadium to go down to the English second tier league with two games to end the season.

Goals from Carlos Vinicius and Aleksandar Mitrović sealed the win for Marco Silva’s Fulham side which condemned the Saints to the English second tier league.

Salisu, aged 24, joined Southampton from Real Valladolid during the summer transfer window of 2020 and has since become an important player for the team.

However, injuries this season have caused him to miss a significant number of matches.

The 24-year-old former Real Valladolid player has one assist in 22 matches this season in the English top-flight.
