Former Hearts of Oak defender Inusah Musah and midfielder Isaac Mensah dazzled for their side as they booked their place in the CAF Champions League group stage for the first time since 2001.

Mensah created his side’s best chance of the game and won his club a decisive spot kick which put them on level on aggregate against Uganda powerhouse Kampala Capital City Authority in Uganda.

The Angolan giants got their reward for their persistence performance in Uganda where they managed to hold on to an all-important 1-1 draw on Friday which propelled them to advance on the away-goals rule after a 1-1 aggregate scoreline in Uganda.

Petro Atletico played a goalless draw game in Luanda in the first leg playoffs game when they hosted KCCA FC.
