Ghana’s Black Stars attacker Inaki Williams was adjudged Man-Of-The-Match in Athletic Club Bilbao’s win over Celta Vigo after a goal and assist in his team’s 2-1 win.
The Ghanaian international striker scored for Athletic Bilbao FC again in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday afternoon at the San Memes Stadium with an early goal.
He also provided an assist in his team’s victory over their opponents as he set up their second group nine minutes into the second half of the match.
The Ghanaian forward broke the deadlock of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the game after just five minutes with a powerful header.
He found the back of the net for his from the center of the box into the bottom left corner with an intelligent header to send the fans into ecstacy.
His younger brother Nico Williams was pivotal for the home team and was a constant threat to the away team’s defenders and was Yellowcarded in the first half.
Williams goal was all his team needed to have their noses infront at the break.
Five minutes after the break, Jorgen Strand Larsen grabbed the equalizer for the away team with 40 minutes left to play.
Inaki Williams, four minutes after his team conceded the equalizer, set up Alex Berenguer to score the home team’s second to restore Athletic Bilbao’s lead.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian forward has ten goals and three assists in 32 games for the Red and Blacks outfit this season in the Spanish La Liga.
