Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil shone for KRC Genk in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League 2023-24 opening day away at RWD Molenbeek.

The 25-year-old Ghana attacker provided two assists in the team’s 4-0 mauling of the newcomers on Saturday evening to go top of the league table.

He set up Alieu Fadera to score the opening goal of the match to put the Blue and Whites outfit in the lead on the 30th minute mark of the match.

Bryan Heynen on the 37th minute converted a spot kick to make it 2-0 before Daniel Munoz scored the third just before halftime to give Genk a healthy lead.

Paintsil set up Carlos Cuesta in the 70th minute to add the icing on the cake goal to make it 4-0 at full time.
